About

At the 2010 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, a group of 12 students from around the world won a trip to The European Organization of Nuclear Research (CERN) near Geneva, Switzerland. The award was given by CERN itself to science projects in the categories of physics, computer science, mathematics, and engineering. To qualify for the award, the students completed a questionnaire about their interest in CERN. Then, during the fair CERN judges evaluated selected projects by interviewing the students and viewing posters about their work.

This blog describes the trip to CERN from one student’s perspective.
